3 (PTI) An Indian American was among the few chiefs of some of the most
innovative companies of the US to brief President Barack Obama on how
firms can cut emissions and energy costs while saving jobs and
maximising profits. The CEOs were invited to the White House by Obama
on job creation and ways to develop long-term solution to strengthen
our economy.
They talked about what steps they have taken to
increase productivity in their industry during a recession through
innovation and technology. "It is an honour to be among the select few
invited here today to speak to President Obama about the opportunity
for organisations to grow and profit while optimising natural resources
consumption and minimising environmental impact," said Amit Chatterjee,
heading into the meeting, CEO and founder of Hara Software.
Prior to founding Hara, Chatterjee led SAP''s fast-growing Governance,
Risk and Compliance (GRC) unit. He developed his strategic and
leadership experience while at Murkiness & Co.
, working with
clients such as SAP, Cisco and Oracle. Briefing reporters at the White
House Rose Gardens after the meeting with the CEOs, Obama said he talk
to them about growth and progress of a sector that represents a big
piece of America''s economic future
