Ghosn to replace Tata?
Wednesday November 25 2009

India's most watched corporate leader Rata Tata told the world last week that he was looking for a successor.
Now, it seems he met up with Renault
Nissan's high profile leader Carlos Ghosn.
The two had a closed-door meeting in Mumbai a few weeks ago. According to sources, Ghosn and Tata could have discussed Tata Sons' succession issue. Ghosn is a likely candidate in Ratan Tata's hunt for a global CEO, sources said.

Tata Sons, however, has told NDTV that the reports are speculative.
Ghosn is a likely candidate in Ratan Tata's hunt for a global CEO, sources said. So, is he a good fit?
He has been the president of Nissan since 2000 and took over as president at
Renault in 2005. Ghosn has worked with Michelin for 18 years and is credited with the turnaround at Nissan. He has undertaken massive e-car project at Renault-Nissan.
He is of Lebanese origin and Ratan Tata is open to appointing an expatriate to head Tata Sons.
Tata is exploring various global names for taking up the top Tata job. Pepsi's Indra Nooyi and former Vodafone chairman Arun Sarin are also in fray.
