The country's largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India, on Saturday reported nearly two-fold jump in its net profit for the second quarter of FY'10 at Rs 570 crore.

The company had a net profit of Rs 296.12 crore during the same quarter of last fiscal, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.

It also reported 46.67 per cent jump in its net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, at Rs 7,049.58 crore, against Rs 4,806.26 crore during the corresponding quarter of 2008-09, the company added.
